A creative, DIY city centre wedding, The Hide, Sheffield - Tess and Mat
From the very first exchange with Tess, I could tell that their wedding was going to be a relaxed and laid-back affair and I couldn’t have been more right! I arrived at Tess and Mat’s and on the morning of the wedding to all the girls just chilled out in their pjs, taking it in turns to get their hair and make-up done whilst sipping on prosecco and chomping on homemade chocolate and croissants. Their house was so full of personality and character which just made me more excited for their DIY wedding at The Hide in Sheffield City Centre.
A vintage bus picked up Tess and the girls from her house and took them to the church where Mat and all the guests were waiting. Once all the formalities of the ceremony were done, we went over to the venue which is an amazing urban space which Tess and Mat had absolutely made their own. The decorations were simple but effective; wild flowers in milk bottles and jars, they had custom designed cocktails and street food for their guests - totally informal and chilled out… Such a gorgeous atmosphere which meant everyone just had a bloody good party!
