An Intimate and Love-Filled Wedding, Langdale Chase Hotel, Lake District - Amy and Stefan
In September I had a drizzly drive to the Langdale Chase Hotel in the Lake District for the beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony of Amy and Stefan. Not one part of me was perturbed by the weather - it's England, after all - but mostly because I'd been Google image stalking this gorgeous venue from the moment Amy first got in touch with me and nothing was going to stop my excitement about it!
My jaw dropped as I pulled up, it was STUNNING; the mist over the lake and surrounding hills, the large but understated building itself and the well kept gardens gave a lovely pop of colour, reminding everyone that summer was only a blink ago! It was perfect!
The Wedding Party of 17 was my smallest yet, made up purely of family members. Every element of it was personal to them, from the flowers that were a gift from Amy's Aunt, to the cake which was made my Amy's Gran who makes cakes for the whole family every time they go over for tea. (She probably had no idea that one day those Victoria sponge's would become the height of wedding cake fashion as the 'Naked Cake' one day!)
In truly adorable style, Amy and Stefan's children, Josh and Emily, were the Flower Girl and Best Man. The Bride wore a beautiful, chic and simple lace gown whilst the Groom (and Josh!) chose a dicky-bow teamed with braces, absolutely bang-on trend. Between them they oozed relaxed yet fabulous wedding goodness!
The rain didn't put Amy and Stefan off whatsoever - I absolutely LOVE when my couples just embrace their day... And that they did! We spent some time wandering around the interior or the gorgeous venue before venturing out. They wandered, chatted, giggled, kissed and were an absolute dream to photograph!
Thank you Mr and Mrs Dean, for making my job so enjoyable - it truly was a pleasure spending time with you both and your lovely family ❤︎
