An Abbeywood Wedding, oozing floral and pastel prettiness, Cheshire - Laura and Chris
I was so excited when Laura booked me for her and Chris' wedding last year. Even though it was over a year in advance I had been really looking forward to shooting at Abbeywood Estate, Cheshire, and it didn't disappoint one bit!
I spent the morning with Laura and her bridesmaids - lifelong friends, Alex and Amanda and her twin sisters, Abby and Mary - at her parents house in Frodsham. Everything was under control and they were all giddy and emotional, drinking their champagne and readying themselves for the Big Day.
There ceremony was at a big, beautiful church in Barrow, on the outskirts of Chester. The nerves from both Laura and Chris were outshone by their huge smiles - especially Chris' once he's spotted Laura walking towards him, looking stunning in her gown (which I was in LOVE with, by the way!)
Despite it's threats, the weather stayed completely on our side so we were able to get all the "formal bit" of the photographs out of the way at the church, leaving for the more fun, natural and informal shots at the reception.
Abbeywood Estate is a gorgeous location, the larger room where guests were to enjoy the most part of the day way like a huge conservatory, because of that the lighting is incredible (geeky photographer comment!) Laura and Chris has chosen a pastel and floral theme and it was just stunning, each table had a stunning rustic, wild flower centrepiece that looked as though they had been plucked fresh from a summer field that morning The whole room was simple and elegant - perfect when the place itself is surrounded by flowers.
There is also a greenhouse type room for the guests to sit and have a natter and acres of gardens to wander.. Seriously, they go on for MILES! We chose to do most of Laura and Chris' couple shots in the gardens because I knew that was the main reason they'd fallen in love with the venue and was the deciding factor in choosing it. We'd done a pre-wedding shoot a couple of months before the Big Day so when it came to it they were absolute naturals; just happy to have a chat and a kiss and a cuddle whilst I snapped away - the happiness absolutely just radiates from both of them!
Congrtulations again and thank you for having me, Mr and Mrs Allwood XO
