Where to start about Mr and Mrs Hurley’s Big Day….

I met Charlotte and Mark at a wedding in Santorini four years ago. Charlotte was a gorgeous bridesmaid and Mark was her handsome new boyfriend. Fast forward a few years; we’d followed each other on Instagram, we would chat from time to time and found a mutual love of gin and all things pretty. I was absolutely over the moon to find out that the pair had got engaged on one of their gorgeous holidays and even more ecstatic when I learnt that they wanted me to shoot their big day.
The wedding was at the absolutely unreal Lemore Manor in Hereford, with it’s own purpose built ceremony room, separate areas for the Bride and her girls to get ready before the wedding and the Groom and the boys to play pool and do boy stuff (I believe it was mostly drink beer and try with every ounce of their being to be super masculine and not cry!), it has the most gorgeous grounds surrounding it, incredibly pretty rooms and the attention to detail was perfection.
When myself and Jess, my second shooter, arrived on the wedding morning it felt as though we were arriving to see old friends. Hugs and smiles were thrown around like beads at Mardi Gras and we were treated more like guests that people that were working! Charlotte and Mark truly have the most wonderful friends and family and being a part of their day was an absolute pleasure. Every single person was so warm and friendly, the love was so apparent - not just between the newlyweds, which was utterly infectious - but everyone radiated happiness!
Thank you so much for choosing me, guys! For allowing us to be part of your celebrations, for pouring a lot of wine into our glasses and for not minding that I cried with happiness on you on your wedding morning when you shared your super-secret baby news! (Although you’d never tell looking at her in that dress, would you!)

I hope that one day we can meet up, drink some bubbles and have a lush time - but until then I’ll continue to stalk online and watch the two of you being the most fabulous parents to your beautiful new baba, Isaac.
