A traditional wedding with rustic, homemade twists, Inglewood Manor, Cheshire - Rowenna and Gavin
This summer I photographed a lovely wedding at Inglewood Manor, Cheshire. I'd never been to the venue before and was so excited about it - new places get me so giddy! I'd met Ro and Gav only once before when we did their Engagement Shoot at Sheldrakes on the Wirral but because of that their Wedding felt like a day spent with old friends!
I arrived at Rowenna's parent's house in the morning - that in itself was an absolute sight to be seen!! Designed entirely by her Dad, it's the first 'ecohouse' in the North West and is absolutely beautiful! Whilst the girls popped prosecco, picked at breakfast bits, had their make-up done and helped each other dress, I explored and photographed details of Ro's morning.
The Wedding ceremony was at the beautiful church in the centre of Thornton Hough. Afterwards there was confetti, homemade cupcakes and sandwiches and selfies with the vicar before we all moved on to Inglewood Manor.
Having had their Engagement Shoot, Mr and Mrs Briscoe were completely comfortable and happy to stroll around the beautiful grounds; holding hands, cuddling, kissing, laughing and chatting - allowing me to snap away and capture their newlywed fuzziness entirely! Whilst we were off doing this, their guests sat in the sun, listening to the singer, enjoyed Pimms and played on the bouncy castle (adults and children!)
The room where their Wedding Breakfast was held was beautifully decorated; made up of rustic and DIY touches, Ro's amazing Mum had made their cake and their wedding favours were little bottles of homemade alcohols like sloe gins and plum brandy... Seriously...!
You couldn't wish for a more gorgeous day for two absolutely lovely people!! ❤︎
