An intimate and informal Scottish wedding, Melrose Abbey - Simone and Ciaran
Around two years ago I got an enquiry which I knew would meet something that had been on my Bucket List from the very early days! I’ve always loved the film Made of Honour (if you’ve not seen it and love rom-coms then it needs to be on your list pronto!) and the thought of a wedding in Scotland always filled me with glee. So just imagine my delight when Simone’s email landed in my inbox telling me all about their intimate and stripped back wedding at Melrose Abbey and thirty of their nearest and dearest (how very 2020!)
Fast forward to September 2019 and Simone and Ciaran’s Big Day was just absolute perfection, complete with kilts, bagpipes and their dickie-bow wearing dog Ted - as promised! The pair broke tradition and got ready in the same house, before separating to get dressed. We wandered through Melrose to the most stunning abbey - honestly, photographs don’t do it justice - and the weather was unbelievably on our side! After the ceremony (in which Ted completely stole the show!) we were lead by bagpipes to their reception at The Hoebridge, a gorgeous nearby pub
So this is a Happy Anniversary blog post to them - for you all to enjoy! What a perfect Scottish wedding day it was ♡
