THE BEST OF 2019
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Still! (It has to be the 283rd January today!)
Here’s a list of some things 2019 involved for me:
25 incredible weddings photographed
Two hen do’s planned and very much attended
The boyfriend moved in
Travelled to, shot a wedding at and fell in love with Lake Garda
Baby sister got MARRIED!
A coccyx injury
Brand spanking new kitchen
Learnt calligraphy
Made a wedding cake
Discovered I like mince pies
Hands up if last year passed by in the blink of an eye for you! *waves both arms in the air*
Absolutely the quickest year to ever whizz by me - so much so it still seems as though I’m in 2018! - and it’s not until I spend some time sitting down, sifting through each and every wedding of the year that I realise how much I’ve crammed in, how many wonderful people I’ve met, how many adventures I’ve been on and how many stories I’ve got to share.
That really is so much of the charm that photography holds for me; like locking away memories in a box and being able to keep them forever, capturing a moment in time and being transported back to it. Every person at every wedding takes away their own version of the way they have experienced that day - I just hope that the version I shoot for my couples is enough to keep every detail of their day sacred. That when looking at their photographs they remember the butterflies in their tummy, the giddy laughter, the smell of the flowers and candles perfectly combined, the deliciousness of the canapes (I really love canapes!) and most of all the warm fuzzy glow they felt.
So here is my Best of 2019 - the ones that, for whatever reason, give me a warm fuzzy glow ♡
