A big, beautiful and utterly-Italian wedding, Santa Maria di Castellabate - Raffaella and Marco

Imagine my absolute delight when I was booked by an utterly stunning Italian bride and her handsome husband-to-be for her wedding in the beautiful ocean-surrounded town of Santa Maria di Castellabate!!

Marco got ready at Raffy's family-ran business, Hotel Garden Riviera, in one of the rooms with his Best Man, whilst Raffy spent her time having hair and make-up done at her parents house in the extremely pretty grounds of the hotel. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Santa Maria di Guilia Basilica, a church nestled up in the hills of the town, and from there the hundreds of guests went back to Raffy's family hotel for the wedding reception! As they went off to enjoy the live music from the local band, Maieutikè, and a feast of delicious and authentically Italian food, I had some time to chase a sunset and sneak of for some photographs with the lovely newlyweds.

The champagne flowed non-stop (until they ran out so sent people out to buy more!), there was dancing, singing, swimming, laughter but most of all, a lot of love! The party went on long into the early hours of the morning - I tell you what, those Italians know how to throw a bloody good wedding party!

Thank you for having me - I can't wait to come back to your twinkle town one day xo
